1. What are your studio’s operating hours?
Our studio is open 7 days a week from 9 AM to 12 AM. Extended hours are available by request. Please contact us in advance for late-night or early-morning bookings.
2. How do I book a session at Studio X Recording?
All of our booking is done online through our online booking system. We do not accept cash deposits for booking sessions, but you can pay your remaining balance online or in cash. All sessions require a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
3. What type of sessions does Studio X Recording offer?
We specialize in recording, mixing, and mastering services for music, podcasts, and voiceovers. In addition, we offer lessons, live sound engineering, and marketing services. We also provide artist development packages and content creation services.
4. What is included with a studio session booking?
Each recording session comes with a rough mix. Bookings also include access to our full range of microphones, preamps, and plugins. Our experienced engineers will work with you to capture your sound. Please see our gear list for detailed information on our equipment.
5. Can I bring my own engineer or producer?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own engineer or producer. If they have specific equipment needs, please let us know in advance so we can ensure compatibility with our setup. Book a no-engineer session here.
6. Can I rent the studio for listening parties or private events?
You can book the studio for intimate listening sessions and events for up to 40 people, which is perfect for small gatherings or previewing new music in a professional setting. These rates are different than our lockout rates. If you want to have an event at Studio X Contact us for rates and availability.
7. Do you offer instrument or gear rentals?
We offer equipment rentals exclusively for use in our downstairs production suite. We do not rent out gear to take off-site. Please inquire about the available rentals to enhance your session experience.
8. How do I prepare for my recording session?
To get the most out of your session, we recommend having your beats, lyrics, and project files ready in advance. This ensures a smooth and productive session, allowing you to focus on your creativity. Please arrive on time, and if possible, send us your files ahead of the session.
9. Can I sit in on my mixing or mastering session?
Yes, you can sit in on your mixing or mastering session. However, we also offer remote mixing and mastering services if you prefer not to be present. Sit-in sessions are charged by the hour, while remote services are charged by the project.
10. Do you offer discounts for package bookings or long-term projects?
Yes, we offer discounted rates for package bookings and long-term projects. Contact us for custom packages that suit your budget and project needs.
11. What are your payment and cancellation policies?
50% deposit of your session total is due in order to book. The other half of your total is due at the beginning of the session. Cash deposits are not accepted to book but cash is accepted to pay remaining balance.
Cancellation policy:
All deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel in under 24hrs you forfeit your deposit and the studio keeps it to cover time lost.
If you cancel in more than 24 hours we will credit your deposit to a rescheduled time.
12. Are there age limits to book a session?
All clients must be over 18 years old, or accompanied by a legal guardian for the entirety of the session IF under 18 years old.
13. How do I get to the studio, and is there parking available?
We are located at the end of 27th Ave, at the end of a dead-end street. It is the last gate on your right, and we have a private parking lot. Please contact your engineer so we can let you inside the gate. Your engineer will guide you to our suite. We allow 1-3 parking spaces in our lot. The lot is gated and generally safe, but please do not leave important belongings in your vehicle, as we are not liable for lost or stolen items.
14. How many people can I bring?
Client Guests: No large crowds. We allow a max number of 5 people per session including client that booked. Anything over 5 must be cleared by Studio X Management. Contact us for more info.
15. What Happens to my Files?
Studio X is not liable for any missing or deleted files after your session. Client files are a client's responsibility. Please come prepared with a USB or external hard drive and backup your files after every session.
